Health and Safety Representative Couse (and refresher)

Target group
The Health and Safety Representative (HSR) course is for employees wishing to play an active role in and around the workplace during a calamity. Every employee can follow this course, irrespective of his or her level of education or experience.

What does a HSR do?
Your employer will have appointed you as a HSR so in the event of a fire or other such calamity you will stand at the “front line”. However, will you know what to do in such a situation? How should you provide initial support or arrange the evacuation of the building? What should you do in the event of an accident? How can you save lives? This course will teach you which actions you must or can take while awaiting the arrival of the fire service or ambulance.

Practical assignments
The course offers a good mix between theory and practice. You will learn how to
                                                                         apply a variety of bandages, resuscitation techniques and how to use the Rautek 
                                                                         (fireman’s) grip. You will also practice when and how to use AED equipment.

The course is concluded with an examination for which a certificate, which is valid for one year, is awarded

Refresher course
To keep your knowledge and skills up to date and to maintain the validity of your certificate, you should follow a refresher course every year.  The refresher course lasts for one day.
