Flu prevention

It’s expected that the Influenza A (H1N1) pandemic will sweep across the Netherlands during the latter part of this year. It’s been estimated that between 30 and 50 per cent of your employees could be affected.

What can you do?
Additional hygiene measures will help to reduce the chance of being infected with Influenza A. Taking the following steps will increase the level of hygiene in your company and that of your employees.

- Personal hygiene at the office:
Provide every office area with tissues and hand dispensers of alcohol.
- Sanitary areas:
Provide every sanitary area with disinfectant soap and tissues and use paper tissues.
- Cleaning:
Use disinfectant cleaning alcohol and wear gloves.

Airport Medical Services maintains close ties with the GGD Kennemerland (the local Regional Health Authority) and the Dutch Ministry of Welfare, Health and Sport, and we are always up to speed on the latest guidelines. You can also download a poster from the Ministry with recommendations as to how you can avoid being infected with Influenza A.
